Customized
Cover Letter
No résumé should ever be sent without a
focused cover letter that communicates your interest in the job
and the company, highlights your qualifications for the job, and
tells the hiring manager how well you can communicate in limited
space.
Electronic and Scannable
Résumé
Résumé Plus will provide your new documents in ASCII format. This removes special formatting elements like bold print, italics and
underlined text and makes it easier for the software used by
companies to electronically read your résumé. We will also incorporate
industry-specific keywords, more spacing, deliberate redundancy
and wider margins…all elements that make scanning easier.
Broadcast Letter
This combines your résumé and cover letter in one document.
It is appropriate for someone returning to work after a long absence;
e.g., a stay-at-home mom or house husband; a person who has little
or no outside paid employment but excellent skills such as leadership
and organization; or self-employed business owners and professionals
like attorneys, accountants and physicians.
Consulting Letter
This document is especially good for retirees who want
to keep active by working for companies on a per project or per
day basis.
Follow-Up Letter
Use this letter to thank the employer for the interview or to
check where you stand in the hiring decision.
Curriculum Vitae
Used by legal, medical and educational professionals to provide
detailed career and skills information. Often consists of many
pages.
Leadership Addendum Focuses on four or five of your key career accomplishments and makes an excellent addition to your executive résumé package.
Project Addendum Highlights the most important projects you have managed. It can include powerful quotes from managers, customers, team members and others.
Career Summary Introduces your résumé and/or addenda. Can be used as an effective standalone tool for networking. Less formal than a résumé, the career summary can be sent with a cover letter when a full résumé would be inappropriate.
Value Proposition Proposal Letter Sent to the companies and/or decision makers you choose. Many positions are created specifically for applicants. By sending your value proposition letter to selected companies, you can learn about opportunities BEFORE they become common knowledge.
Reference Letters Focus on your top values. When you ask someone to write a reference letter, most often he or she is unsure about what to say and may ask for your help in putting something together. It is far better to write your own reference letter and ask your reference to put it on his or her company's stationery. Your reference will appreciate the convenience and you will get an outstanding letter that markets your strengths.
